Bay Books, Coronado: My talk/book signing at Coronado's premier indie bookstore, 1029 Orange Ave near the Hotel del Coronado, was great. Copies of Dead Move: Kate Morgan & the Haunting Mystery of Coronado (Second Edition, nonfiction) (true mystery, ghost story) are flying off the shelves faster than we can replenish. I am told I will also soon have a signing/reading at a major Borders in the San Diego area. World-Class Ghost Mystery: Recently I published a new book that totally redefines the story of the woman who haunts the Hotel del Coronado near San Diego. Using the hotel's own official book (Beautiful Stranger) and other resources, I found startling new evidence that turns the traditional legends on their head. The dead woman was not Kate Morgan, as is commonly supposed. Kate Morgan was the ringleader of a conspiracy to blackmail the owner of the Hotel del Coronado, John Spreckels. The woman who died was a beautiful young runaway from Detroit named Lizzie Wyllie. [NOTE: I have republished it. The Second Edition is NonfictionTrue 1892 Crime MysteryFamous Ghost Investigation. The first ten chapters are available as a sample here: Click on the image to start reading.] . You can order the book at your local bookstore, or buy it online. |

Doubling constantly, they will soon populate the entire earth unless Linsey and her few believing allies can stop them. The horror begins in quiet, working class neighborhoods like Grantville, Serra Mesa, and Linda Vista. Kids like Jimmy Mendez and his cousin Maribel Walesky await the return of their merchant marine dads from a sea voyage to South America. Jimmy is the first to realize that the thing coming through the front door is not his dad--a spitting image, but with lifeless eyes and a ravenous hunger to spread the spores of a new gray dawn...Start reading the book, free and full, right now, and keep the light on all night. This disturbing story will haunt your thoughts for a long time. |
